Nancy Raines Day was lucky to have had a mother who read nightly, and a father who took turns telling “original stories” every Saturday morning. One of her dad’s favorite maxims was “Books are our friends.” They were that to her growing up, and still are! Nancy has been passionate all her life about creating “friends” for new readers and promoting literacy for all ages.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoys singing in her church choir. Learning to play unusual instruments is her thing—currently the ukelele and the marimbula.
