Hop along with Olivia and Mei in the fluffy white snow as they explore early math concepts in this storytelling math series board book. All bundled up the girls set off to jump like animals in the snow! Olivia jumps like a rabbit with little hops and her feet together. Mei decides to jump with a wide stance and one foot in front like a reindeer. The girls make it to the tree but their footprints look different in the snow. The two wonder who jumped more? Through exploration, observation, and prediction the girls determined that they both jumped more! The girls colorful snow clothes stand out against the bright white snow in the beautiful illustrations. An exploring math section at the end of the book helps teachers or caregivers understand the math concepts that can be taught from the book including measurement, size, and distance. A try this section also encourages further extension! Another great early math book from the storytelling math series!
