Unit 3: Using a Dictionary

analyzing suffixes: -y, -ly, -ful, -less, -ness, -er, and ist

Unit 7: Using the Parts of a Book
Locate information in the different parts of the book by
understanding the form and function of the title, cover, title page, table of contents, and chapter headings

Unit 8: Reading Maps and Diagrams
Interpret maps and diagrams by

combining readers purpose with the data in the visual aid to locate specific information
